August 16th, 1926 - September 10th, 2017
Lucille Cowart, 91, of Gaston, SC passed away September 10, 2017. She was born on August 16, 1926 in Headland, AL to the late John and Martha (Hancock) Land. Lucille is survived by her son, Frank Aycock; daughters, Louise Banks of Aurora, CO, Dolores McGill (Dennis) of West Columbia, SC, and Tracy Bennett (Jon) of McNicholson, GA; and special nieces and nephews. She had 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur G. Cowart; sisters, Delia Cannon and Lucy Tew; and brother, Jack Land. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will follow. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
