Lucille Ann O'Keefe
March 19th, 1927 - December 20th, 2022
Lucille Ann O’Keefe, age 95, of St. Paul, died peacefully December 20, 2022. Preceded in death by Robert, her beloved husband of 52 years, parents Rudolph and Gladys Maeurer, brother John Maeurer, and special friend and companion Ron Mickus. Survived by sister Janet Alexander; five children, Pat (Dianne) O’Keefe, Kathy (Mark) Johnson, Mary Beth (Dick) Ebert, Teeny (Al) Emmerich, and Casey (Paula) O’Keefe; ten grandchildren, Christine (Mike) Higgins, Shannon O’Keefe, Nick Johnson, Andy (Kristen) Johnson, Robin (Mike) Speller, Bobby (Alison) Ebert, Michelle Ebert, Jake Emmerich, Tommy (Kelly) Emmerich and Kayla O’Keefe; and ten great-grandchildren. Lucille, a proud German, lived her entire life in St. Paul and was a member of Nativity Parish. Mom loved the local MN sports teams and enjoyed many years of bowling with “the gang.” For over two decades, she volunteered in the Nativity School office, the same school she and Dad sent their children. She and Dad enjoyed traveling to northern Minnesota, Hawaii, and Florida, especially when their kids could tag along. Mom spent summers since childhood at the lake cabin in Annandale where many fond memories were created for all of us. It was her happy place. She enjoyed catching sunfish from the dock, spending time in her gorgeous vegetable and flower gardens, reading on the deck, and baking her famous strawberry-rhubarb pies. Most of all she will be remembered for her love of family. She was happiest when we were all together. Special thanks to the staff at Carondelet Village in St. Paul for their wonderful care over the last seven years. Visitation at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 28th, at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1938 Stanford Ave, St Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Nativity School Scholarship Fund, 1900 Stanford Ave., St. Paul, MN 55105, or donor’s choice.
