Macario Martinez Leon
February 26th, 1943 - January 31st, 2024
Macario Martinez Leon went on to join our heavenly Father on January 31st, 2024 at the wonderful age of 80. Born on Feburary 26th, 1943 and originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, he settled down in Chandler, Arizona. For over 40 years, Macario was a dedicated employee of Dobson Family Farms based in Chandler. He made history by being one of the men to walk the well-known Sheep Trail. Rain or shine, he made sure his fields of corn and alfalfa were cared for. Many people would describe Macario as a man who was hard-working, compassionate, dedicated, and generous. He made many friends over the years and touched the hearts of everyone he met. One of his favorite things to do was care for his livestock and teach his grandchildren about plants and animals. He taught his family to work hard and love everyone, as well as to enjoy the simple things in life. He is survived by his wife, 3 sisters, 4 children, 23 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. A viewing for Macario will be held the 7th of February at Legacy Funeral Home, located at 1374 N. Arizona Ave. Chandler, AZ 85225. He will be laid to rest in his hometown of San Andres Enguaro.
