Madeline A. MacPherson, 74, died August 14, 2006. She was born November 19, 1931 in Detroit, MI. She has been a resident of Venice, FL for 37 years having come from Ontario, Canada. She was an avid bowler. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Farrell of Ontario, Canada; son, Bill MacPherson of Port Charlotte, FL; granddaughter, Cheryl Purcell; grandson, David O’Brien; grandson Michael O’Brien and his wife Mandy; and two great grandsons: Christopher Purcell and Sean O’Brien as well as several nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Doug and sons Bob, Jim and Jack. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 17 from 6-8 PM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A Graveside Service will be Friday, August 18 at 10:30 AM at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or to Juvenile Diabetes Research, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005.
