Major Jeff Scott Davis USAF

Jeff Davis passed away Saturday, April 13 at the age of 50 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Sumner, Iowa on August 14, 1962 to George and Sharon Davis. HE grew up in Eldora, Iowa graduating from high school in 1980.Jeff attended Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He married Kelly Ann Carlson in 1985 and together they had two children-Brooke Nicole and Austin James. Jeff spent ten years enlisted in the Air Force with his first duty station at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska and then moving on to Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from McMurry University in Abilene he applied for and was accepted into Officer Training School. Following graduation from OTS he was stationed for four years in California at Beale AFB, Vandenburg AFB-where he completed Space and Missile Training-and Onizuka Air Station. He then applied for and was accepted at the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB, graduating with a Masters in Science degree. This was followed by a move to Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs where he retired from the Air Force in 2004 with the rank of Major.
