Makaylyn Marie Lee, age 9, left this world on April 12, 2023 in Denver, Colorado. After being struck by an SUV in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she passed away the next morning. Makaylyn was born in Colorado Springs on January 17, 2014 to Marvin Lee and Kaylea Genske-Halazon. Makaylyn was known to be very expressive and outgoing. She was full of life and would light up any room she walked into. She loved other children and was often known to get off the bus and yell through the neighborhood so all the kids could come play. She was very creative and always working on some type of art project. Makaylyn loved music and dancing, she made many videos that will forever show what a bright light she was. She touched many lives including her family, teachers, classmates, and neighborhood kids. Makaylyn is survived by her parents, Marvin Lee, Kaylea Genske-Halazon, and Scheria Miller; her sisters, Whitney Lee, L'Dymonai' Miller, Peyton Lee, Jaylen Lee, L'Draamah Miller, and Journee' Patterson; brothers, Z'Varrez Keaton, and Marreon Lee; grandparents, Lorri Halazon, Len Genske, Christie Henry, and Willie Henry; aunts, Carol Bennett, Barbara Oats, Learria Miller, Teyonna Hurt, and Bria Abbey; uncles, Melvin Lee, Darvon Bennett and Travis Genske; and great-uncles, Keith Hurt, and Ivan Hurt.
