Manuel “Manny” Cruz, Jr., age 69, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 6, 2007. He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on May 10, 1938. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deanne; daughter, Deb Norton of San Antonio, Texas; son, Tom Cruz of Garden Grove, California; brothers, Salvador Cruz of Springfield, Massachusetts, Americo Cruz of Chicopee, Massachusetts and a sister, Beatrice DesRosiers of Chicopee, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind four grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 12:30PM with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4902 Eisenhower Blvd., Suite 295, Tampa, Florida 33634 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 1040 Woodstock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, Florida 32803. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
