Marcella "Marty" Mae Bozung

Winter Haven – It is with much sadness that Marcella (Marty) Bozung has passed away after a brief illness. She went to be with her friend, Jesus on Wednesday July 24, 2024, at the age of 85.

She was born July 30, 1938, in Jackson, Michigan to Melvin and Marguerita Ebert. She attended and graduated from Jackson High School. She married the love of her life, Joseph Bozung on August 10, 1957, in Jackson, Michigan. She was an Insurance Agent for several years, moving to Florida in 1985 where she was a Sales Representative for K&K Glass until retirement.

Marty truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, playing cards and dominos, was an active member at First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale including Church Bible Studies, a member of Sisters of Faith, and a member of The Sociable’s in her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; sister, Melvina (Louis) Yount; sisters in law, Helen (Ralph) Parsons and Jean Vos. 

She is survived by her nieces, Sara (Phil) Rowley, Martha Yount, Teresa Parsons, Nanette (Samer) Naser; nephews, Louis Yount, William Yount and Bob (Tammy) Parsons; and sister-in-law Sue (Jon) Bassett. and special family friends, Larry and Michelle Forsythe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 406 Main Street, Auburndale, Florida.
