Margaret Jane Alexander, 88 of Cloquet died Monday, November 26, 2007 in Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born September 16, 1919 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was raised and attended school in Mankato, Minnesota. Margaret married Gordon Blume on June 25, 1935. After her husband's death in 1944, Margaret married Benjamin Alexander on June 26, 1945. She was a housewife and also worked as a baker at the Junction Oasis for many years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wrenshall. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. She also thoroughly enjoyed people. In addition to her first husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her second husband, Benjamin; daughter, Kathy Newbloom; and grandson, Thomas Moretto. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Victor) Moretto of Wrenshall, and Deanna Carlson of Cloquet; sons, Richard of New Mexico, Joseph and Anthony (Melody) both of Wrenshall; grandchildren, Patti (Paul) Sitzman, Pamela (Misho) Dragicevich, LouAnn Fox , Linda Hulett, Kenneth (Helen) Hulett, Kyly and Ian Alexander, Angela and Clayton Alexander, Toni Honer, Ben Alexander, Jackie Mattson, Bridget (Bill) Wells, Adam and Ely Newbloom; 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister, Juanita Hulett; and special nephew and friend, Charles Farrara of Carlton.
