Margaret Gerardo was born on April 10, 1936 in Trinchera Colorado and entered eternal rest on March 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert J. Gerardo Sr., her brothers Richard Sr. and Donald Leyba and sisters Julia Gerardo and Teresita Leyba. She is survived by her children Gilbert Jr. (Rose) Gerardo, Rosabelle (Jerry) Chavez, Philip Gerardo Sr., Judy (Jeff) Mitchell, her ten grandchildren; Johnny Lopez, Richard Lopez, Misty (Will) Coleman, Lisa (Oscar) Infante-Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Dominic Tafoya, Philip Gerardo Jr., Joseph Gerardo, Anthony Mitchell, Jesse Mitchell, twenty-five great-grandchildren, six great - great grandschildren, a sister Maria B. Trujillo and many nieces, nephews and friends.Margaret retired from the Air Force Academy in 1989. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, shopping, playing softball and raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed greatly by all family and friends.Visitation will be 4PM to 7PM with a Rosary at 6PM Monday, March 12, 2012. Funeral Service will be 10AM Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W.
