Maria Gamez, 44, passed away on January 29, 2020 in Clinton, SC with her beloved husband by her side. She was born on April 22, 1975 in Michoacán, Mexico daughter of Fernando Gamez and Amalia Luna. Maria lived for 22 years in Haines City, FL before moving to Laurens, SC, where she resided for 12 years. She was a housewife and a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL. Maria was loving wife, a cheerful woman and a fighter. She loved her husband and her nieces and nephews very much, as if they were her own children. She always helped her family and anyone who needed her, especially to those in the Hispanic comminuty. Maria enjoyed traveling, dancing and watching TV, especially the History Channel. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Octavio Maldonado; brothers, Jorge, Fernando, Jaime, Villebaldo and Raul; sisters, Martha, Griselda, Evangelina, Amalia, and Adriana; and several nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL. Maria Gamez, 44, falleció el día 29 de enero del 2020 en Clinton, SC con su amado esposo a su lado. Ella nació el día 22 de abril del 1975 en Michoacán, Mexico hija de Fernando Gamez y Amalia Luna. Maria vivió por 22 años en Haines City, FL antes de mudarse a Laurens, SC en donde residió por 12 años. Ella fué ama de casa y miembro de la Iglesia Católica Santa Ana de Haines City,FL. Maria fué una mujer muy alegre, luchadora y amorosa. Amaba a su esposo y queria mucho a sus sobrinas y sobrinos, como si fueran sus hijas/hijos. Ella siempre ayudaba a su familia y a todo aquel que necesitaba de ella, en especial aquellos de la comunidad hispana. A Maria le gustaba viajar, bailar y ver televisor, en especial el canal de Historia. Ella es precedida en muerte por sus padres. Ella es sobrevivida por su esposo, Octavio Maldonado; hermanos, Jorge, Fernando, Jaime, Villebaldo y Raul; hermanas, Martha, Griselda, Evangelina, Amalia, y Adriana; y varios sobrinas y sobrinos. Ell séra verdaderamente extrañada. La Visita será el domingo, 2 de febrero del 2020 de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. en Oak Ridge Funeral Care en Haines City, FL. La Misa será el lunes, 3 de febrero del 2020 a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Santa Ana en Haines City, FL. Se le dará santa sepultura en el cementerio Forest Hill de Haines City, FL.
