Marilyn Lopes, age 76, of North Port, FL passed away on March 17, 2018. She was born in Boston, MA on January 30, 1942 to Edmund and Mary Ferry. Marilyn worked for the City of Cambridge for 28 years where she was the Director of Food Services and Transportation. She moved from Boston 20 years ago to North Port where she was very active in the Riverwalk Community. Surviving family members include her husband Augusto ""Gus"" Lopes; daughters Elaine Marie Giles and Kathleen Mary Zbinden; grandchildren Tamara Wallace, Todd Giles , Ashleigh Twomley, Mark A. Zbinden, Kayla Marie Zbinden; great grandchildren Kenneth Wallace, Samantha Wallace , Julia Wallace, Jack Giles, Dylan Giles, Zoey Twomley, and Trevor Twomley; brother Donald Ferry; sister Elizabeth Conte and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 22nd from 10 am - 12 noon, followed by a funeral service. Burial will be at Venice Memorial Gardens.
