Marjorie Sarah Bill

Marjorie Sarah (Irvine) Bill, age 88, of Venice, Florida, a retiree with 25 years of service as an insurance agent with the Bernard C. Cozad Agency of White Oak, PA, died October 9, 2021, in Venice, FL. Marjorie was born January 19, 1933, in McKeesport, PA to the late Hays L. Irvine and Hazel E. (Taylor) Irvine. She was a member of Murrysville Alliance Church in Murrysville, PA. Deeply interested in overseas missions, she was active in her church's Great Commission Women's group and sang in the choir. At her former in McKeesport, she served 25 years as a Pioneer Girl Leader, where many were counseled in the ways of the Lord. Her interests also included gardening, cross stitching, and traveling. Her latest interest was her fellowship at the First Baptist Church, Venice, FL and their ladies' bible study group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Bill (65 years of marriage), a sister and two brothers. She is survived by son, David W. and wife, Teresa, serving as missionaries to the Republic of Congo, daughter Susan E. Bill of Venice, FL and James I. and wife, Nila of Cambridge Spring, PA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Farley Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 4PM to 8PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Farley Funeral Home at 265 South Nokomis Avenue, Venice, FL 34285. Rev Tom Hodge, of the First Baptist Church in Venice, FL will be officiating at the graveside service at 10AM on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. Memorial contributions are suggested to the work of David W. Bill (son), missionary to the Republic of Congo, Africa or Eric D. Bill (grandson), missionary Senegal, Africa.
