Mark Edward Barnes Sr.

Mark Edward Barnes Sr., 59 years old, passed away from this life on January 12, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on Thursday, August 8, 1963 to Maurice and Elvira Barnes in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mark went to Palmer High School and graduated in 1981. He proudly went on to earn a certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Training from OSHA. He also worked as a commercial roofer and was an owner and operator for twenty-five years. Mark received awards as a Master Elite Duro Last Gold Versico Contractor. He was a contributor to Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry with his generous donation of turkeys every year for Thanksgiving. Mark loved the Broncos, roofing, fishing, and time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Elvira Barnes; and his dog, Angel. Mark is survived by his wife, Theresa Barnes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Mark Barnes Jr., and Steven Barnes; two brothers, Gary Barnes of Arizona, and Roger Barnes of California: granddaughter, Grace Barnes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and several nephews, stepdaughters and step-grandchildren all in Colorado as well.
