Mark Daniel Boutin

Mark D. Boutin, 56, formerly of Somers, CT passed away tragically due to a motorcycle accident in Winter Haven, Florida. Mark was the son of the late Guy F Boutin (1986) and the late Marielle Thibault (1966). He was born in Holyoke MA, raised in Somers, CT, and a 1983 graduate of Somers High School. He attended Asnuntuck Community College and later enlisted in the US Army. He was stationed in Germany serving his country until 1986. He later married in 1994, moved to Georgia, and finally settled in Winter Haven, FL. Mark is survived by his mother Barbara Perodeau, sister and husband Anicia and Kenneth Young, their 2 children Aaron and Angela, sister Kimberly Boutin, ex-wife Cheryl L Councilman, and several other family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins in New England and Canada. Mark also leaves behind countless friends, new and old, and most recently his new family at The Freedom Church in Eloise, FL. Mark truly enjoyed working on cars and riding his motorcycles, embracing the avid mechanic that he was. He spent endless hours with his life-long, good friend Mark Chesanek back in the day rebuilding Mopar engines. He took several road trips from Florida to Maine along the East coast, being sure to visit his great friend and cousin Dan Thibault. It was always a pleasure to see him during the summer and comforting to know we were in his prayers. Mark always had a smile on his face and was eager to help fix anything from electrical, plumbing, to complete home renovations. The skills and knowledge he had acquired growing up came from learning the art of construction with his father. He continued his passion through the years and always had several vehicles including cars, trucks, and bikes surrounding him. He operated a small business in his home town performing home inspections and repairs. He will be truly missed by all of us. He was at peace with everyone around him and one of the most forgiving beings. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 3 pm at The Somers Center Cemetery 81 Battle St. Somers CT.
