Mary Theresa Alexander was born on January 19, 1933 in Biddeford, Maine to Zelda Elizabeth Shannon and John Earl McDonald (or Frank Woodbury Corson) and passed away on October 27, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, William, John "Sonny" McDonald, and Chucky Letteney; sisters, Tammy Servidio, and Frances Romasco; and granddaughter, Donna Bliss. She is survived by her children, Carol Gagnon, Wayne Terry, Patricia Montgomery, and Paula Mowers; her grandchildren, David Ortiz, Dione Cole, Ryan Ferrell, Lee Ferrell, Wayne Terry, Jr., Dan Bothwell, Sean Terry, Miranda Thibedau, Sterling Montgomery, Bradley Tinker; her sisters, Pearl Moore, Connie Boles, Jeanette Tatau, Barbara Salerno, Dawn Servidio, Linda Servidio, Debbie Ryder, Bobbie Smith, Sandy Lorgeree, Joan Nash; and her brother, James Rancatti; and by a multitude of great-grandchildren, and other family members. Mary grew up in New Hampshire as the oldest of seventeen children. The seventeen children did not all grow up together. Some of her siblings were adopted to other families. There weren't many stories she told about her childhood. As an adult, Mary worked as a waitress for many years of her life. She was not afraid of hard work and managed to work three jobs to provide for her family. She had previous marriages, but she married her lifelong partner Sidney Alexander on January 9, 1979, in Maui, Hawaii. There were no children of this marriage. She became known as Theresa Mary Alexander after this time. She was a caregiver for many years in Deerfield, New Hampshire. She was an avid gardener. She taught her grandchildren about growing vegetables and taught them how to harvest and how to prepare them as well. She was a great cook and preferred cooking southern cuisine. She travelled frequently to spend time with her grandchildren. She always owned luxury cars and she loved riding motorcycles with her late husband. They went on to own a towing business in Texarkana, Texas. Her husband passed January 22, 2007. Theresa was already showing signs of dementia at that time. Not too long after, Theresa went to live with her granddaughter in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As her dementia progressed and she was no longer able to safely stay home, Theresa went to live in assisted living. Her illness progressed further until she was eventually living in a memory care setting. She was well cared for. During the last stages of her life, she was placed on palliative care. During that time, she occasionally enjoyed chocolate ice cream and/or hot cocoa. She passed away comfortably and with someone holding her hand. Interment, with her husband, Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Springer Boulevard, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206.
