Mary Lou Foster

Mary Lou Judie was born October 5, 1940, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to James Judie and Dorothy Judie. Mary went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 30, 2021. At the age of 80 she was a daughter, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She was a sister, an aunt and a great-aunt. She was a mom to all our friends. She had many, many, friends and people she loved and that loved her.In 1955 her family moved from Stillwater, Oklahoma to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mary graduated from Colorado Springs High School, currently known as Palmer High School. She was a member of St. John's Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. Later she became a member of Payne Chapel AME Church. She was an active member of The Jolly Jills Social Club for many years, contributing greatly to the community of Colorado Springs through the club's civil and social events, especially their heralded Annual Debutant Ball working tirelessly to present hundreds of young ladies to the community.In her early years, she enrolled and graduated from real estate school and she had a wonderful career in real estate. She was an Interior Decorator for Sears and Roebuck. However, her real love was in tailoring. She had a successful tailoring business for more than twenty years. She is survived by her sister; Mildred Yvonne Proby. Two daughters; Jacqueline Yvonne Jordan and Connie Christine Warren (Darrin). Three grandchildren; Shannan Jenee Thomas-Nealey (Donald), Joslyn Jenee Jordan-Potts, and Darrin Anthony Warren, Jr. A neice, Veronica Renee Elde; and a nephew, Milton James Proby, Jr. (Kelly). Four great-grandchildren, Joshua Hamilton, Darion Nealey, Arica Orduna and Victoria Nealey. Two great-nephews, James Earl Elder and Isaiah Damon Elder. Mary, was a very special person and she showed love and kindness to everyone that crossed her path. She will be missed by a multitude of family and friends. One very special friend; Carolyn Marks (Lilton).Many lives have been touched by Mary. She leaves family and friends to celebrate her passing.
