Mary Ann Jones
December 7th, 1928 - June 18th, 2019
Mary Ann Jones, age 90, a life-long resident of Englewood, Colorado, died peacefully Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born December 7, 1928, in Sterling, Colorado. She graduated from Littleton High School. She married Arlis Jones, Jr. on June 12, 1949. In March of 1958, they purchased a brand new home in Centennial Acres. Throughout her life, Mary Ann had been blessed with the gift of caregiving! She was happiest when helping family, friends & neighbors. She was active in the Sheridan schools, especially the Ft. Logan library and she volunteered at Interfaith Task Force for many years. Mary Ann was an avid bowler, loved to sew and made most of both her daughter’s clothes. She also enjoyed Bunco for many, many years with her dear neighbor friends. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Sue Secrest and husband Tom, daughter, Patricia Cooper and husband Shel; son Brian Jones: and son Alan Jones: three grandchildren, Chad Secrest, Kim (Secrest) Paterson and Scott Copper, and three great-grandchildren, Alethia Secrest, Marisa Paterson and Kylee Cooper; brother Ben Spahn, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlis Jones, Jr.; her sister Shirley (Shreiner) Zaremba; and her grandson Aaron Cooper.
