Mary Ann Woll, 78 of Venice, Florida passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2009 after a brief bout with cancer. She was born in Queens, a borough of New York City on March 13, 1931. She attended Richmond Hill High School where she met her husband of 57 years, Bill. They married on October 6, 1951. In 1990, Mary Ann and her husband retired to Venice from the family construction company in Wayne, New Jersey where she was co-founder, president and Chief Executive Officer. They have lived in Venice ever since. She and her husband loved ballroom dancing and made many friends at the various dance venues throughout the Venice area. They will remember her smile, friendliness and hugs. Mary Ann was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Post 159, Venice. In addition to her husband, Bill, she leaves a loving son-in-law, Russell Diesinger of Reading, PA and a devoted godson, Tom Steffens of Palm Coast, FL. There are no services planned. Donations can be made in her memory to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home of Venice is in charge of the cremation.
