COLUMBIA—A graveside service for Mattie Richardson Miles, 93, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Greenlawn Funeral Home will be assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Carolina Children's, PO Box 4465m, Columbia, SC 29204. Mrs. Mattie Richardson Miles, 93, of Columbia died Sunday. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Richardson and Cora Peake Richardson. Mrs. Miles was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia. She worked for over 45 years at Sears. Surviving are her daughters, Karen Alexander and her husband, Mike of Columbia and Sharon Horne of West Columbia; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Those who preceded her in death include, late husband of 50 years, Thomas J. Miles, daughter, Doris Elaine Spirtos and son, Thomas Eugene Miles.
