Maurice Anthony
January 16th, 1926 - May 26th, 2012
Maury was born in Roodhouse, Illinois, January 16, 1926, the son of Maurice Kenneth and Roberta Filson Anthony. He was raised in Detroit, Michigan until he joined the Navy at age 17 and was sent to college in Chicago. He received four degrees in engineering and mathematics from Illinois Institute of Technology, including the PhD. He retired from Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) in 1991. He resided with his wife in Highlands Ranch until his death on May 26, 2012. He is survived by his wife Serena Coppedge Anthony; his daughter Joan Anthony Eustice and her husband Richard of Colorado Springs; his former wife Betty Plester Anthony and his son Maurice Edward, both of Orlando, Florida; his brother James Anthony and wife Barbara of Brighton, Michigan; his grandson David Anthony Eustice, wife Rachel and daughter Edith, all of Sheffield, England; his Aunt Hazel Filson Byers of Casa Grande, Arizona; various nephews, nieces, and cousins. Grave-side burial service will be held at Ft. Logan on June 1st, 2012 at 1:15pm, Staging area ‘C’.
