Maurice Balls
January 29th, 2013
Maurice James Balls, 84, of Melba, died January 27, 2013 at home. He was born April 17, 1928 in Benson Ward, Utah to Denton Aziel and Margurite Gittens Balls. He grew up in Smithfield, Utah. Maurice proudly served in the United States Air Force for 10 years as a master mechanic. He married Florence Sharp on November 5, 1952. Together they had 6 children. Maurice was a talented and creative man. He was a mechanic that could fix or build anything and a talented artist. Many have enjoyed his beautiful leather work, wood carvings, metal sculptures and drawings. He enjoyed panning for gold, fishing, and camping. He always had the best garden in the valley. His skill and wisdom will be greatly missed.
