Maxine Ramona Gamino, age 79 passed away on June 3, 2015: Maxine was born May 24, 1936 in Taos New Mexico, the daughter of Helen Romero and Frank Sandoval. At the age of 15, Maxine moved to Denver where she met and married Boniface Salu Gamino in 1952. She enjoyed helping underprivileged children and families enroll in services to help them excel. She also spent many hours volunteering at St. Anthony of Padua Church. She also raised one Granddaughter, Elizabeth Alvarado. Maxine was survived by Salu, her husband of 63 years, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. She is also survived by 5 sisters and 1 brother. Maxine was well-known throughout the community because of her loving heart and generosity. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor of being part of her life. As many of you know this has been a very difficult time for Salu and the Gamino family. Many people have expressed their willingness to help and we thought this would be a great way for those to express their support. So He put His arms around her and whispered, "Come with me". With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best Previous Events Rosary JUN 15. 7:00 PM (MT) St. Anthony of Padua 3801 W.
