Meri M. Hill, 77, of Venice, FL, formerly of Detroit, MI died May 4, 2010. Survivors include her beloved husband James, son Craig of Carey, NC, daughters Connie Bullock of Manassas, VA and Barbara Bales of Venice, six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by two sisters, Elsie Jorgensen of Troy, MI and Nellie Wardrop of Royal Oak, MI. Meri was born in Detroit, MI and lived in Venice for 11 years. She was the owner and CEO of Pinnacle Group Associates, a global relocation management company. As the first woman to own a national home purchase company, she was a leader in the industry, winning multiple awards and recognition from the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council. She was also a frequent guest speaker and author. She was a member of the Venice Golf and Country Club and served on the Board of Directors for six years. Meri was also active as a community volunteer at the Women’s Resource Center and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice.
