Michael Ray Cook, age 48, passed away May 28, 2019, at his home in Aurora, Colorado. Michael was born on September 22, 1970, in Pueblo, Colorado to Kenneth L. Cook and Carol A. Hoff. Michael was married to Shelley Conner for 27 years and they had three children together, Kaitlyn, Mikeala, and Johnathon. Mr. Cook served in the United States Army for 10 years of active duty from 1990 to 2000 and continued to serve in the Colorado National Guard for the two years following. After he found his passion for flying helicopters in the Army, Mike couldn’t give up his love for aviation. He followed this passion to Jeppesen Sanders, where he finished his career as a Senior Manager after 19 years. Michael is survived by his wife Shelley Conner, daughters Kaitlyn (23) and Mikeala (22), son Johnathon (20), mother Carol Hoff, brothers Robert Knuth and Clifford Knuth, sister Christy Levermann, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Cook, and stepfather, Robert Knuth. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 12th at 9:30 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, followed but the burial service at 11:15 am at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
