Michael Digirolamo,61, of North Port, Florida, passed away on March 28. 2021. He was born on April 1, 1959 in Elkton, Maryland to his parents Alfred and Mary Ann Digirolamo. Mike had a passion for art and was an avid artist/ ""mad artist painter"" for 46 years, and he was taught by his grandmother, Mildred. Mike loved to paint. It was his life passion and his greatest work. As a portrait artist using oil on canvases, he captured and brought to life the depth and detail of his subjects. Additionally, he created fantasy, lush, landscapes, murals and backdrops for events and photoshoots. He was an enthusiastic art teacher and art department director for 10 years. His memories and love for painting will live on. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Digirolamo (Feb 14, 2018); grandmother, Catherine Digirolamo (Nov 7, 2016); grandfather, Alfred A. Digirolamo; grandmother, Mildred S. Kachel; grandfather, Stewart W. Kachel. Mike is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Digirolamo-Russell of Florida; sons, Michael Andrew Ferut-Digirolamo of Pennsylvania, and Dakota James Boehm of Florida; mother, Mary Ann Digirolamo of Florida; brother, Mark Digirolamo of Florida; sister, Deanna Digirolamo of Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Deanna and Mary Ann Digirolamo at 708 Blackburn Blvd., North Port, Florida 34287.
