Memorial

On October 6, 2015 Michael Vincent Herrera went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ finally free from the burdens of this world. He was born on September 1, 1982 in Denver Colorado. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Angelina Vigil Ruiz and Raymond Alvarez Ruiz and paternal grandparents Jose Herrera and Carmen Apodaca. He is survived by his loving parents Mary Ruiz Herrera and Victor Michael Herrera and sister Alanna Maria Herrera and nephew Raymond Michael Herrera and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, maternal and paternal who all loved him dearly. A true musician, Michael was well known, loved and respected in the Denver City music community for his dynamic and wide ranging musical talents; mastering the guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, saxophone and just about any instrument he ever picked up. His proficient musical talents and unparalleled raspy voice can be heard on many recordings of several bands starting with Stainless out of New Mexico at the age of 15. Michael was always creatively driven and always in the midst of a new project or band. The co-creator of numerous bands such as One Dying Wish and The Blackout Pact which garnered them a record deal with Astro Magnetics Records after being discovered by Geoff Rickly from the well known band Thursday. The front man for the bands Sleeper Horse, Tin Horn Prayer & Gentlemen Crow, the moment these bands assembled it didn't take long for them to accumulate a devoted fan base. City wide he is being celebrated; his music, his life, his influence and his well known loving, kind and genuine spirit. He accumulated not only fans and band mates but a brotherhood of life long friends. "There is a little less music in the world tonight." "A musician like no one has ever seen... Mike was no man; he was dynamite.". Cemetery Details El Rico Presbyterian Cemetery Chacon, NM Loading map Previous Events Visitation OCT 12. 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM (MT) Romero Family Funeral Home & Ft.
