October 5th, 1963 - May 29th, 2023
In Loving Memory of Michael Charles Patton 1963-2023 Michael Charles Patton, a man who embraced life's adventures and left an indelible mark on those he encountered, passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2023, at his home in Westminster, Colorado. Born on October 5, 1963, in Boulder City, Nevada, Mike's life was a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering spirit. A proud Gulf War 1 Navy Veteran, Mike embarked on a journey of service when he joined the Navy in 1987. He fearlessly served aboard the USS Constellation until 1991, earning a National Defense Service Medal and the rank of Bosun Mate 3. Mike's time in the Navy fueled his wanderlust, and he seized every opportunity to explore the world. From the shores of the Philippines to the vibrant streets of Japan and the breathtaking landscapes of Australia, Mike's adventures were boundless. His deployment to the Middle East further exemplified his unwavering dedication to duty. Mike's love for exploration extended beyond his military service. He cherished his trips to Las Vegas, where he relished the bright lights and vibrant energy, often accompanied by groups of friends or his beloved wife, Terri. One trip that held a special place in his heart was a memorable journey with his brother and their friends from the El Chapultepec. They spent four unforgettable nights at the Stardust casino, creating memories that would forever be etched in their souls. Closer to home, Mike found solace in the great outdoors. Whether it was camping amidst nature's serenity, casting his line into the sparkling waters while fishing, or teeing off on the golf course, he found joy in every moment. A devoted fan of the Broncos and Nuggets, Mike's enthusiasm for sports was evident in his extensive collection of memorabilia. His passion for animals knew no bounds, and throughout his life, he showered love upon countless pets. His dogs, Petey, Jake, and Jax, and his cherished cat, Nemos, held a special place in his heart. Above all, Mike was a man of faith, guided by his deep belief in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. His devotion provided him with strength and a moral compass, shaping the way he lived his life. Mike leaves behind a profound legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Terry Romero, who shared 17 beautiful years with him. His mother, Ria Van Mastrigt, his brother, Mark Patton, and sister-in-law, Karen Garcia, will forever hold him dear in their hearts. Mike's sister, Stephanie Treusein, and brother-in-law, John Treusein, along with nephews Collin Heng Patton and Max Treusein, and nieces Grace and Julia Treusein, will carry his spirit forward.
