The "OX" was born in Chicago to Raymond and Lorraine Sullivan and spent his early years with a loving extended family. He enjoyed his adolescence in Orange County, California. He graduated from high school in suburban Detroit, where he lettered in football and was an ALL STATE wrestler. He attended Hiram Scott College in Nebraska on a football scholarship.Mike lived a varied and interesting life - living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as an "Innkeeper", a construction worker in the Florida Panhandle, smokestack adjunct, freight salesman, and frustrated cowboy, finally settling in the Colorado mountains. He leaves behind a cherished daughter, Ella Olivia; and many diverse and loving family members and friends. Mike was a voracious reader, had a keen interest in Native American culture and his beloved Rocky Mountains. He was above all an accomplished Storyteller.
