Michael Dominic Tafoya, age 43, passed away on July 25, 2024. Born on August 8, 1980, Michael was a compassionate and kind-hearted individual who brought joy to those around him. He graduated from high school and pursued further education through some college courses.
Michael had a passion for dancing, swimming, camping, LOVED cooking, and above all, enjoying the laughter and company of family and friends. His vibrant spirit and love for life were evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his loving parents, Felix and Carlota Tafoya; his brother, Araon Valenzuela; his cherished children, Juan Flores-Mercado and Desteny Flores-Mercado; his adored grandchildren, Leonardo and Teresa.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Monday, August 5th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Home, located at 1374 N. Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ, 85225. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the Tafoya residence to continue the celebration of his life. Contributions of food are welcomed.
Michael's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
