Michael Zielinski, 59, of Bloomington, Minnesota passed away on March 27th at home with his family. Mike was born in Kittanning, PA on August 1st, 1962 to Barbara and Fred Zielinski. He was followed by his younger brothers Richard and Robert. Together the family traveled and lived in various places, settling in the Twin Cities. On May 6th 1995, Mike married Kristine (nee Hennebry) in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. They raised their two children Jacob (24) and Emma (21) in Bloomington. Mike was very proud of his two kids, and was always involved in their activities. For the last 15 years, Mike worked as a Configuration Manager at General Dynamics Missions Systems. Mike is preceded in death by his father Fred Zielinski, who passed away in 2011. Mike is survived by his mother Barb, two brothers Rich (Mary) and Rob (Kara), wife Kriss, children Jake and Emma, and sister-in-laws Deena (Bob) and Vicki (Khaled). He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews Sarah, Christine, Justin, Matthew, Said, Zaki, Aicha, Meriem, Michael and Abby. Service will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, April 1st at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1701 West Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to service, food and refreshments to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
