Milagros P. Alejo
July 2nd, 1951 - February 16th, 2011
Milagros P. Alejo, 59, lost her inspirational battle to cancer on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Mila was born in the Philippines and migrated to the Monterey Peninsula with her family at the age of 13. She graduated from Seaside High School, attended Monterey Peninsula College and then began her lifelong banking career. Mila will always be remembered for her passion for bringing everyone together, playing with her grandchildren, making jewelry, arts and crafts, cooking and entertaining for all those she held dear. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whom she had touched throughout her very memorable life. Mila?s life may have seemed short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which she lived. Mila is survived by her mother, Juanita P. Alejo, her daughters, Milda and Barbara Iliscupidez, her grandchildren, Dominic and Anthony Nehring and her siblings: Maria Theresa Cosur, Antonette (Chris) Elpedes, Julius (Debbie) Alejo, Stan (Leslie) Alejo, Butch (Kay) Alejo, Luisa (John) Musni, Corazon Alejo, Elizabeth Larroque, Virgil (Debra) Alejo and many nieces and nephews.
