Mildred Chunn Glover, 90, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her residence with family by her side. Born February 24, 1932 in Gadsden, AL to George W. and Gladys Chunn, she was a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Math Education and a Masters Degree in math and science. She taught math and science for 10 years and was a guidance counselor for six years at Haines City Junior High. She retired after teaching for 30 years in Alabama, Bartow, FL and Haines City, FL. Mildred was a resident of Winter Haven for 61 years, was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Winter Haven, and lovingly called “Grommy” by her grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vann Glover, her parents, and brothers, Howard Chunn Sr., GW Chunn and Eugene Chunn. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan G. Wirsch of Palm Bay, FL and Dianne G. Ortt and her husband Chuck of Palm Bay, FL; three grandsons, John Ortt, Todd Wirsch and Glen Wirsch; and two brothers, Gary Chunn and his wife Mary and Larry Chunn and his wife Gail. Funeral Services will be at 11:00am, Monday, February 23, 2022 at the Central Church of Christ, 142 Avenue C, SW, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Interment at Rolling Hills Cemetery.
