WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Mildred C. Walker, 95, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Whaley Street United Methodist Church, officiated by Dr. Noble Miller. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Whaley Street United Methodist Church, 517 Whaley St., Columbia, SC 29201 or Epworth Children""'s Home, P.O. Box 50466, Columbia, SC 29205. Mrs. Walker, widow of Aubrey K. Walker, died Thursday, September 23, 2010. Born in Sandy Run, SC, she was a daughter of the late Willie Crim and Annie Lou Williamson Crim. She was a member of Whaley Street United Methodist Church and retired from Olympia Mills.Survivors are her daughter, Ina Raye Walker of West Columbia; sons, Aubrey Douglas """Doug""" Walker (Betty) of Columbia, and Charles Walker of Elloree; special friend, Cheryl Morse; sister-in-law, Meta Walker of Columbia; three grandchildren, Kevin Walker (Carolyn), Keith Walker (Christie) and Shawn Smith (David); eight great-grandchildren, Eric, Kirsten and Emily Walker, Aubrey and Isabella Walker, Raven, Blake and Ethan Smith; nephew, Levi Whitener (Pat); and several other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by three brothers, Godfrey, Willie and Raymond Crim, and two sisters, Ollie C. Searson and Bertha Whitener.
