Wife Rita deceased March 19 2003. Survived by five children Patty Poffel, Nita Carlisle, Rebecca Horn, Milton Poffel Jr, Susan Anderson. Born in Baltimore MD, attended McDonnough boarding school. During that time he was State Fencing champion, then coached the State Champion team the next year. Was with the Artillery in the Fighting 99th during WWII. A full participant in the Battle of the Bulge and the battle for the bridge at Ramagen, entering Nazi Germany. He worked at Martin Marietta for many years as a computer engineer specializing in Aerospace. Started a coin and stamp business and evolved into one of the most respected fishing tackle shops in the region. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Paralyzed Veterans Association (PVA).
