Myra D. Anderson, 82, of Venice, formerly of Flint, MI stepped into God's presence on June 24, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Myra was born in Flint on October 18, 1934 to Fred E. and Grace (Locke) Scott. After retiring from the Personnel Department at General Motors, Myra became a licensed life insurance agent before she and Robert moved to Florida. She is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 65 wonderful years, son Scott and his wife Laurie of Columbia, TN, precious grandchildren Lindsey & Bradley, cherished great grandchildren Grant, Caleb, & Paxton, and dear sister Deloris Gies of San Diego CA. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00 am at the church, and then Myra's life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, all at First Baptist Church of Venice. She will be laid to rest following the service at Sarasota National Cemetery. To share a memory please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
