Myron Dion Canty

Myron Dion Canty, 53, of Whiteville, North Carolina passed away October 6, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born January 8, 1968 to Edith Canty and Benny Davis, his father was the late John William Canty.Myron went to high school at Whiteville High School and graduated in 1986. He went on to earn a certificate as a HVAC Technician from vocational rehabilitation. Myron served in the U.S. Army for five years and completed a tour in Korea and he was a Desert Storm Veteran. Myron enjoyed fishing, playing sports, his family and friends, and Brutis.He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lily Kay Canty; his father, John William Canty; his biological father, Benny Davis; and a brother, John William Canty, Jr.Myron leaves to cherish his memory a son, Cody Womack of Wenatchee, Washington; daughter, Dionna Canty of the home; three grandchildren, JaVante, Kamilah, and Xander Womack of Wenatchee, Washington;his mother, Edith Faye Canty of Whiteville, North Carolina; brother, Bryan Canty (Corletha) of Raleigh, North Carolina; three sisters, Mabalene Moody of Whiteville, North Carolina, Tara Canty of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Melanie Bellamy of Whiteville, North Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
