Nancy A. DiStasio, 72 of North Port, FL passed away June 16, 2007. Nancy was born September 27, 1934 in Beacon Falls, CT. She has been in the Venice area for 43 years. Nancy graduated from the St. Raphael School of Nursing in New Haven, CT in 1955. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years in the Venice area until her retirement in 2001. She was a Catholic and was strong in her faith. She is survived by her husband John of 50 years, one daughter, Suzanne DiStasio-Reed and husband Larry, one son, John DiStasio, III and wife Melissa and one grandson John DiStasio, IV all of North Port. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel with an interment following at Venice Memorial Gardens on Center Road. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Nancy’s name to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
