She was the youngest daughter of the late Leamon and Mary Jeffcoat of the Edmund community, SW of Columbia in Lexington County. She was the youngest of 13 children. She married her late husband, Henry Brooks, in Winnsboro, SC in October of 1948. After 21 years of military service and 55 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2003. Except for several years in Germany, Naomi lived most of her adult life in West Columbia, SC. She was raised as a Baptist and a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, Gaston, SC. She enjoyed being a homemaker, traveling, gardening, fishing and several small loving dogs. She is best remembered by her friends and companions of 8 years residence at Jenni Lynn Assisted Living facility, as a very sweet, friendly, kind, never complaining, compassionate lady who often enjoyed listening to the drama and adventures of her fellow residents. Naomi was foremost, a Loving Mother, a Faithful Wife and a Friend to all God's Creatures. She will be sadly missed by friends and family alike.
