Nathan Michael Haase, 37 of Duluth passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 in Duluth. He was born June 24, 1979 in Atlanta, Georgia. Nathan grew up in Cedarburg, Wisc. and graduated from Messmer High School in 1997. He graduated in 2001 from UW Milwaukee with a degree in Fine Arts, Film and Photography. Nathan worked as a staff photographer for Brava Magazine in Madison, Wisc. In 2005 he met Becky Salmela and on April 26, 2008 they were married. Shortly after their wedding, they moved to Duluth. Nathan worked as a personal care assistant for Trillium, then as a cable installer with Mediacom and most recently he worked as a sales associate and appliance delivery driver for Best Buy. Nathan had a passion for photography and film, travel, the outdoors, animals, and music, especially live performances. He also had a great love for his family and friends. Nathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Patricia McEniff. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Becky; mother, Nancy (John) Jeffords of Richfield, Wisc.; father, John (Elizabeth) Haase of Madison, Wisc.; paternal grandparents, Roy Haase of Naples, Florida and Shirley Haase of Madison; parents-in-law, Larry and Vicky Salmela of Effie; sister, Jessica Haase of Madison; sister-in-law, Amy Salmela of St. Paul; and his dog, Duck; cat, Maddie; and horse, Hevonen. Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet.
