Nelda "Gerry" Hill Greer
December 26th, 1930 - April 1st, 2017
Nelda "Gerry" Hill Greer, 86, of West Columbia wife of Gary Elbert Greer Sr. passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was born on December 26, 1930 in Empire GA. to the late Henry Edgar and Ethel Viola McLendon Hill. She was a homemaker and worked at Grace Christian Daycare for over 15 years and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by, one daughter, Cindy Loupis, three sons, Michael Greer (Debbie), Edward "Eddie" Greer, and Jeff Greer (Brenda); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Greer, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Linda Greer; five sisters and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
