Nibalda Del Carmen Loyola Tapia "Carmen" born December 26, 1954, age 68, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023. She was born in Curillinqui, San Clemente, Chile, and grew up in the region before moving to Santiago, Chile. She immigrated to the United States in 1977. She lived in Englewood, Colorado, working for Swedish Hospital and later at Craig Hospital until her retirement. Ever since she was a little girl, she was hardworking, caring, giving and always strived for the betterment of herself as well as her family. She was extremely passionate about helping her mother and family in Chile, effectively helping each of her siblings (12). Not having the opportunity for a formal education, her dream was to give her kids a better opportunity in life and have them get their education. She was proud of her children as both graduated from highschool, J.K. Mullen and Bishop Machebeuf and then from college University of Northern Colorado. Carmen loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She always wanted to be helpful everywhere she could. She enjoyed traveling to Chile, shopping, going out to eat, spoiling her grandchildren and being independent. Preceded in death by her parents Carlina and Joel Tapia-Flores, and her brother, Victor, as well as her two sisters Ermelina (Meli) and Auristela (Kena). She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Jose ; son, David; daughter, Victoria. Son; David and his wife, Jamie, and two granddaughters; Samantha (Sami) and Sydney and daughter; Victoria (Vicky) and her husband, Cris and grandsons; Fabian, Alexander (Ale), Nicolas (Nico), and Wolfgang (Wolfie) and granddaughter; Mailen (Mai) Her sisters; Ana, Maria, Olivia, Agustina, Marta and Brothers; Santos, Juan-Manuel, Victor, and Transito and numerous nieces and nephews. We will sincerely miss and forever love you.
