Nick Schoenwalder, age 20, died in his sleep on Friday, September 19, 2014. He was a student of life who had a wish to pursue a career in pharmacy and had recently worked as a Barista.Nicholas Tyler Schoenwalder was a student at Horizon Junior High and then was homeschooled. He had a passion for singing and writing. He was a sweet outgoing, gentleman who enjoyed serving others, gaming and was recently learning to play the guitar.He is survived by his parents: Ruth and Barry Schoenwalder, his brother: Brandon Wind, his sister: Haley Johnson, and his aunt: Stephanie (and Greg) Fisher, all of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his aunt: Natalie Wind of Yoder, his uncle: Joe Wind of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and his girlfriend: Jessica Bosnich.Visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A luncheon reception will follow at the Christ Center at the Church.
