Nieves B. Fernandez

Nieves B. Fernandez, 92, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on July 3, 2022. She was born February 25, 1930, the daughter of the late Luis Blanco and Margarita Sanchez. Nieves was a native of Havana, Cuba, before moving to the United States in 1954 with her late husband, Jorge. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Nieves is survived by her children, Norberto Fernandez, Arlene Plunkett and her husband and John Plunkett, Diana Kinney and her husband Michael Kinney, grandchildren, Erin Larsen, and her husband John Larsen, Sean Plunkett, Micah Kinney: great-grandchildren, Olive Larsen, William (Liam) Larsen. She was preceded in death by her husband Jorge Ignacio Fernandez; and her parents. A mass for Nieves will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on July 12th at 12:00 Noon .Visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services on July 11th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.
