Nina Adeline Kiesling Bailey
September 25th, 1916 - May 9th, 2010
Nina Adeline Kiesling Bailey was born on September 25, 1916, in Newark, WI, and peacefully passed away at home in Venice, FL, on May 9, 2010. Nina proudly served as a teacher in Wisconsin for eight years and for 24 additional years in Nokomis and Venice after moving to Florida in 1956 from Beloit, WI. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Teachers and the Retired Teachers Association of Sarasota County. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Nokomis, where she served in several capacities, including organist and Sunday School teacher. Nina was preceded in death by Lester T. Kiesling and Charles Bailey and her beloved companion, Herman Davis. She is survived by her son, Douglas Kiesling, and daughter, Diane Kiesling. She is also survived by 2 step-daughters, Joan Baughman and Sue Pickens, 7 step-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Michael Davis, son of Herman Davis, and Michael’s wife, Jan, and by Maria Rivera, dear family friend, who lovingly cared for Nina as a daughter following her stroke in October, 2009. She will be lovingly remembered by numerous friends.
