Age 75, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 25. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Catherine; sister Sharon Leahy; brother Donald and infant brother Gerald. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Loree; daughter Amy (Jeffrey) Scalise; grandchildren Violet and Archer; sisters Elaine (Tim) Murphy and Connie (Mike) Cosgrove. A graduate of Loras College who served in the US Army, he worked in commercial lending for 33 years with US Bank before partnering in a consulting firm in his "retirement." Norbert was an avid reader who also enjoyed traveling and fishing with friends. He was skilled at fixing just about anything and shared his knowledge. It was a well-lived life by a thoughtful, kind-hearted, much loved man. He will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Friday at the Church of the Assumption, 51 W 7th St., St. Paul. Visitation 4-8PM Thursday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, 651-228-1006 and at church 1 hour before Mass. Burial with Honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Catholic Charities.
