Norma Paige Richardson Loman

In Loving Memory

Norma Paige Richardson Loman, 88, of Columbia, SC passed away August 7, 2024. Norma was born on February 22, 1936 in Sophia, NC. She was the wife of the late Phillip Henry Loman and the daughter of the late John David Richardson and the late Pearl Beatrice York Richardson of Sophia, NC. She is survived by three children, David (Robin) Loman, Kim (DeeBo) Kelly and Todd (Joy) Loman and seven grandchildren, Tradd (Taylor) Loman, Garrett Loman, Caroline (Nick) Manolis, Larkin Kelly, Wills Kelly, Emily Loman and Sydney Loman and one great-grandchild, Hayes Loman. She is also survived by one sister, Pam (Scott) Jones and family of Winston Salem, NC and the Richardson cousins in NC. Norma was a graduate of Asheboro High School and worked as an Xray and CT scan technician for many years. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She loved cooking for her family and friends, and she was an amazing cook. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and her church family meant so much to her. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her wonderful nurses and caregivers at Karesh at Beechwood and at MUSC/Kershaw Health. Their outstanding care and support meant the world to us.  

 

The memorial service will be at Asbury United Methodist Church in Columbia, SC (1005 Asbury Drive) on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 12:30 pm followed by a visitation at the church. There will be a private, family graveside service at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery prior to the memorial service where she will be laid to rest with her beloved late husband. Donations may be sent to Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church.
