A memorial service celebrating the life of Oliver B. Jones, Sr., 71, of Columbia will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday morning, November 24, 2010 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Private inurnment will follow at a later date in Celestial Memorial Gardens, West Columbia, SC. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mr. Jones departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was the son of the late David Jones and Ora Bell Jones Robinson. Mr. Jones was predeceased by a son, Mark Antonio Jones and a brother, David Jones. Surviving are his loving children, Jonathan Jones, Thomas (Charlene) Jones, Janet Jones, Jerry Jones, Marcus Jones and Brian Hughes; two sisters, Juanita Barr and Rebecca Mercado; six grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
