Olli Kalevi Rautio, 90, of Cloquet, finally found peace and went home to be with his soul mate, Mae L. Rautio, when he died Sunday, March 27, 2011. He was born to Jack and Elizabeth Rautio in 1920 in West Frankfort, Illinois. Olli married Mae Ylikoski August 13, 1949. Together they made a few moves owning motels in Franklin, Indiana and Superior, Wisconsin and then moved to Florida for 20 years. They moved to Cloquet, which became their retirement home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae; his parents and a sister, Lillian Dean. Olli is survived by two beloved children, Joel Rautio of Swansea, South Carolina and Wendy Rautio of Cloquet. The family wishes to thank the staff of Sunnyside Health Care Center for the care and support given to Olli. A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cloquet Educational Foundation or American Cancer Society.
