Osbaldo Barragan (March 15, 1929 - May 17, 2017) age 88 of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully with his children at his side. His loving wife and childhood sweetheart, Mary Lou Barragan, his parents, Manuel and Emilia Barragan and sister, Zobeida Crowson, precede him in death. He is survived by his children Baldo, Cynthia (Kurt) Ellsworth, Carmela (Nick) Matera, David (Linda) Barragan and Marco (Michele) Barragan, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Born in Miami, Arizona, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy. As an accomplished machinist, he crafted precision parts for the aerospace industry. Being a man of many skills, he designed and constructed the family residence with his own hands - from the footing to the roof and everything in between, including the kitchen cabinets - all while in his twenties and working two full-time machinist jobs. People who knew him will remember his talents, selfless contributions, lasting friendship, love and charisma; a man's man, a family pillar and a friend. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on June 3rd at the Barragan Family residence.
